DRAFT — placeholder document, not legal advice

Privacy Policy

Draft last updated: October 20, 2026. This is a placeholder for product review and does not constitute legal advice or a binding privacy policy.

Please note: This page is a clearly labelled draft. Do not rely on it as a final legal document. A reviewed policy will be published before launch.

1. What this draft covers

This draft describes, in plain language, the categories of information Subscriptly is designed to handle and how that information is intended to be used. It is published so you can understand the product's approach to privacy before launch. It will be replaced by a reviewed policy before paid plans are generally available.

2. Information you provide

Account information (name, email address, and password hash via our authentication provider), subscription records you create (provider names, amounts, billing cycles, categories, payment-method labels, and notes), and any files you import. Subscriptly does not ask for, and you should not enter, full bank account numbers, card numbers, or bank login credentials.

3. Information collected automatically

Basic technical information needed to operate the service — such as device and browser type, pages visited, and diagnostic logs — and a small number of cookies required for sign-in sessions and theme preferences. Analytics, where used, are intended to be aggregated and product-focused.

4. How information is used

To provide the service (tracking, reminders, analytics, and savings suggestions), to send transactional emails you expect (such as renewal reminders, password resets, and billing notices), to maintain security, and to improve the product. Subscription data you enter is used to operate your workspace — not to sell advertising profiles.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, email delivery, hosting, and payment processing), under contractual obligations, and where required by law. Team workspaces share subscription records with the members you invite, according to the permissions you set.

6. Retention and deletion

You can export your subscription data at any time. If you delete your account, your personal data and subscription records are intended to be permanently deleted from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to limited retention required for billing records and legal compliance.

7. Security

Subscriptly is built with authenticated sessions, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and access controls so that one workspace cannot access another's data. No system is completely secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we intend to notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your choices

You can update or delete subscription records at any time, adjust or disable reminder emails in Settings, export your data, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your personal information.

9. Changes and contact

This draft will change as the product and its legal review progress. Material changes to a final policy will be communicated in advance where required. Privacy questions should be directed via the contact details provided in the final policy at launch.
